SYNOPSIS

“There is something no TV nor radio can transmit: silence. During the first days after earthquake, silence was everywhere. Not only among ruins. People wandered like ghosts. Among them silence, in their heads there was silence.”

During the night of April 6th 2009, a violent earthquake devastated one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, its territory with its wonderful natural and cultural heritage. After that night, L’Aquila became theater of National and International politics. The Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, decided to hold the G8 summit there to catch the attention and to obtain International support.
During 15 months of shooting, the documentary tells the most mistified city of Italy, going from resignation to riot through thousand transformation, interwining stories of people, places, voices and “jackals” which led to people protests when the earthquake was not a news anymore.
